Insurance Claims

man repairing a roof
Grand Junction Roofing is an established roofing company concerned about comfortable and convenient living for businesses and individuals in Colorado. One of the conveniences is obtaining the necessary information needed to facilitate payment by the insurance company. We understand that people see an insurance claim as a challenging task; hence they need the interference of either an attorney or an independent insurance expert that can help overcome the court proceedings. Our experts help arrange and access the preliminary claim information related to home or commercial roofing, and possible plans to mitigate damages. Grand Junction Roofing provides exclusive support and assistance within our capacity by adhering to the standard insurance claims procedure. Filing for an insurance claim may take a longer or shorter time to be completed depending on the size of the claim you need to file. To help you file the claim, we adopt the steps below;

Roof Inspection
An insurer does not joke with inspecting the subject property you want to file a claim for, they want to confirm the damage you have on your roof. The inspection will reveal if the type of damage is based on what you insured and if it is included in your insurance policy. On the other hand, if you are not sure that your roof has sustained damage, you can request a free roof inspection from us, and we will agree on a scheduled date and time.

File the insurance claim
After the inspection, it is either the damage claim that is confirmed or not. In a situation where the damage is confirmed and aligns with your insurance policy, you will be required to file it. Our trained Grand Junction Roofing project manager can assist in filing your insurance claim. As the homeowner, you’ll be required to provide accurate information on the date and time in which the damage occurred, and once you adhere to all the claim processes by providing necessary information, the insurer will issue a claim number to you. The claim number is your key to the entire insurance claim process.

Insurance adjustment
After your claim has been filed successfully, the insurer will assign an adjuster to follow up with your claim. This is part of the steps that makes the entire claim process tedious, but it is the standard that should be followed. The adjuster will contact you and notify you of the next possible process. During the entire process with the insurance adjuster, we advise that the homeowner get a representative so that all parties can inspect the damaged roof once again before issuing the roof repair contract.

Payment and other processing
Any hail storm roof damage payout is done in two ways. One is done before the commencement of the damage repair, and the other is paid at the end of the project, that is when the roof replacement or repair is complete. The payment is based on a percentage calculated using the years the roof has been installed and its expected lifespan. All payment is issued with related paperwork.
